Assistent® Original - a long and successful story...

Already in 1940 the first kitchen machine was introduced, at that time produced by Electrolux. Second world war paralysed many Electrolux factories and subsidiaries. In the swedish Electrolux factories air filters were produced for the military industry. At the same time Electrolux introduced the kitchen machine Assistent®.

The characteristic streamlined design for that period was broght out by Alvar Lenning. The kitchen machine had, at that time an effect of 250 W and was coloured in beige. A special collection of "depression recepies" was included. In 1969 the production was moved to Ankarsrum. All aluminium parts, like the arm, arm attachment, upper stand  and the mincer with its parts are diecasted inside the factory. The electrical motors have been and still are developed and manufactured in the Ankarsrum factory. The kitchen machines have continously been developed and improved whilst keeping the basic construction and design ideas.

1999, 2001, 2002, 2005 and 2006 are years when Assistent has reached first place and become "Best in test" in different independent publications like f.ex., Råd & Rön, ICA-kuriren, Matmagasinet amongst others.
